Anathomy Differences

Below you can find the major anatomy differences between the 3 "Caucasian" human Races that can be found in Althas

Thenodrim

Thenodrim have the aspect shared by most of north-western Europeans

Form of the face/skull

The Skull of a typical Thenodrim can be inscribed in an elongated rectangle
Their faces are a bit long but their foreheads are not particularly pronounced, so the hairline is generally low enough
The Eyebrows grow in an area defined by a horizontal strip (they are not very angled)
The whole face resembles an oval
They tend to Have long elongated Ears set high up on the skull
The cheekbones are not too pronounced and are not particularly high or low
Their jaw is not very wide put pronounced enough, it gets generally more gentle in the back
They tend to have long noses, usually pretty straight
The septum is either straight or curved inward, never outward
The noses are never too wide
The throat has a pronounced Adam’s apple, it’s somewhat visible in women too
Thenodrim have wide lips and mouths. They never have very narrow lips, and their mouth sits generally close to the nose

Facial Hair

Although males grow their beards mostly regularly on the cheeks as well as on the chin, Thenodrim Men grow facial hair very slowly, and they don’t ever get too long, for this reason it is common to see Thenodrim clean shaved or with short, covering beards

Skin

The skin of a Thenodar is usually slightly darker in males. It has some brown tones and can get pretty dark if exposed to sun or really pale in case of lack of it.

Vallorim

Vallorim share their aspect with the typical “Northmen” or Vikings Hollywood and Occidentals imagine

Form of the face/skull

The Skull of a typical Thenodrim can be inscribed in a short rectangle, sometimes almost a square
Their faces are short with pronounced foreheads, the hairline is generally high or at medium height
The Eyebrows grow in an area defined by a very wide V (they are slightly angled)
They tend to have round faces
They tend to Have small round Ears set low or at medium height on the skull
The cheekbones are very pronounced in males in the back section, more gentle towards the front and generally in females.
Females tend to accumulate fat on the cheecks so under the cheekboes the lines are generally gentle, Males tend to have very flat cheeks.
They have very wide and square jaws very pronounced in the back
They have short and not angular chins
They tend to have very short noses, with irregular patterns or pronounced humps
The septum is often curved and the point of the nose is usually round, Females don’t have outward curvature, usually
The noses are very wide for Caucasian men standards
The throat hasn’t a pronounced Adam’s apple, very muscular in men and women alike
Vallorim have wide mouths but their lips lose width pretty early from the centre, so their lips are somewhat round (lips are never too narrow)

Facial Hair

Male Vallorim easily grow think beards and moustaches. Facial hair grows very fats and long, so many Vallorim don’t even bother cutting it.

Skin

The skin of a Vallorim is usually very pale, with heavy tones of pink. When exposed to the sun it gets quicly red with tones of violet

Sefairim

Sefairim share their head shape with many Mediterranean European populations but with skin typically found in the east countries of Europe

Form of the face/skull

The Skull of a typical Thenodrim can be inscribed in a thin rectangle, ending with a downward triangle
Their faces are very long, the foreheads are not wide bit very high
The Eyebrows grow in an area defined by a narrow V (they are very angled) and the angle changes significantly towards the outside
They tend to have sharp, triangular faces
They tend to have big, high ears
The cheekbones are very pronounced in males and females alike, it’s positioned very high under the eyes.
They tend to have very thin cheeks with pronounces inward curve
They have very narrow and angular jaws with very pronounced lines
They have long and angular chins
They tend to have medium to long noses, straight and very narrow between the brows
The septum is often curved outward or very flat, the point can be round, but the nostrils are always small
The noses are very slim for Caucasian men standards
The throat is not much muscular, tends to be elegant. Adam’s apple is very visible in Males but small
Vallorim have wide mouths with very slim lips, even females tend to have slim mouths. The mouth generally sits not too far from the nose

Facial Hair

Sefairim cannot grow facial hair on the cheeks easily, for most of them it’s impossible. Some of them don’t grow facial hair at all, but those who can grow it very thick in the chin/mouth area.

Skin

The skin of a Sefairim is pretty dark, with heavy tones of dark red and some purple. When exposed to the sun they can get rather Tanned
