Vitals represent core facets of Characters that can increase (up to a maximum amount, sometimes influenced by Attributes) or diminish to 0, in The Lays of Althas: Sundered Order.

Vitals can be found in the bottom left HUD (Heads-Up Display) during the course of the Game.

Health

Ranges from 0 to 100 (there is no way to increase Health). If 0, the Character dies.

Health should regenerate very slowly over the passage of the day. Should regenerate faster when Resting.

Attacks and Falling (from large heights) will lower Health.

The following should decrease Health over time:

  • Bleeding: Has a chance of occurring with Gashing and Piercing attacks. The Character needs to patch up the bleeding Limb with Bandages in order to stop Bleeding (although Resting should slow down the rate of bleeding).
  • Poisoning: Would occur via Poisoned Weapons or Poisonous Animal Bites/Stings. You’d need an Antidote to stop the Poisoning.

More functionality should be added to Health later.

Stamina

Stamina is used for Running (hold Shift), Jumping (Spacebar) and Attacking (Left Mouse Click. Anytime one of these actions are performed, Stamina goes down. When Stamina is 0, Running, Jumping and Attacking cannot be performed by the Character.

The following activities should not decrease Stamina:

  • Jogging: Default movement speed. Stamina should increase very slowly if at all.
  • Walking: Caps Lock to switch between Walking and Jogging. Stamina should increase faster then Jogging.
  • Standing Still: Stamina should increase faster then Walking.
  • Sitting: F interact with a Chair to sit in it. Stamina should increase faster then Standing Still.

At this time, Stamina regenerates at the same rate if you are not performing an action that will drain it.

More functionality should be added to Stamina later.

Novair

Currently not implemented in the game, and doesn't need to be a focus at this time.

Novair means "mind power" in Noralar.
