Driomi is the single god, and creator, of all of Ethesh. Driomi exists within Zedromi along with his Shesethos servants.

Driomi goes by many names, but this is the name that the Men of Althas usually refer to him (means "The One" in Noralar). In the Celestial language, he is known as Mellendil (meaning unknown). Other Noralar names he goes by are: Drio-Devrosi ("The One that is Before"), Drionefeth ("The One of Might", "Mighty One"), Driocreseathar ("The Lord Creator") and Driozohi ("The One of/is Hope"). In Old Maelan he goes by the name Ánwealda ("The One, Sole Ruler of All") and Onwealda ("Sovereign, lord god"). In Maelan, he is simply known as "The One."

Sovereignty

Within Zedromi, Driomi rules over all of creation. He commands the Sheseth to do various acts, although The One is not incapable of doing them himself.

Acts

The first known of Driomi's acts was the creation of existence itself: the universe Ethesh and all life within it. Then he committed his greatest act: the creation of man on the world of Jevreth. Driomi placed the men on the continent of Althas in seven groups within seven regions. After this, Driomi gave men of Althas the "Celestial language" in order to speak with each other.

After nearly three centuries into the counting of years in Althas, pride overcame some of the Shesethos. But Driomi cast them out from Zedromi, making the fallen Shesethos become the Drevril. The Drevril brought evil into the world, spreading it like a poison over Althas. Man not only faced the havoc of the Drevril, but began to fight amongst themselves as well. In response, Driomi assigned certain men to become Diasairos that would fulfill his will throughout the ages.

Man's Beliefs

At the end of the War of Calamities that ended the Mythical Age, a champion called the Drioshafi appeared to battle the forces of Téafor and the Six Sorcerers. Just as mysteriously as he appeared, his sudden disappearance after victory made many believe he was an appearance of Driomi himself.

During the spread of the Pale Death in the second century of the Years of the Renewed Kingdoms, the infected Sebairos believed that the plague was the judgment or curse of Driomi for their support of the false Gerénian kings. This belief spread as a rumor amongst those they met on their travels. [WIP]
